As we are a Foundation Trust, we work to national standards but have greater freedom to work more closely with patients, carers and members of the local community to design and develop services that meet the needs of the people who use our hospital.
We work closely with the Universities of Manchester and Salford to train hundreds of new doctors, nurses, midwives and other health professionals every year.
Four-in-a-row for ‘Excellent’
Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has been named as one of the top performing hospitals in the country for the fourth year running, it was revealed today. The Trust has scored top marks yet again in the Care Quality Commission’s Annual Health Check – rated as ‘excellent’ for the quality of its services and the quality of its financial management.
David Dalton, Chief Executive of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, said the four-in-a-row of ‘excellents’ was testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of all staff at Salford Royal.
“We are absolutely delighted with the results and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Salford Royal for uniting for a common purpose to deliver safe, clean and personal care to our patients. Ensuring high quality patient care is at the heart of what we do. We believe our consistent ‘excellent’ rating for four consecutive years gives our patients’ confidence that they can trust us to provide them with the highest standards of services in the NHS."
“Four years of such results in the Annual Health Check is a great achievement and demonstrates that we are continuously strengthening our provision of excellent acute and specialist services on a local, regional and national basis. We are committed to keep on delivering great experiences and results for our patients year after year.”
