The Salford Spinal Surgery Service provides both Specialised and General spinal surgery services for the patients of Greater Manchester, Mid-Cheshire, the Northwest and beyond.
The service in Salford is one the largest and most active in the country, serving one of the largest populations, and delivering audited, high quality outcomes.
The support services for investigation and management of spinal conditions are excellent and include full radiological facilities, as well as a close working relationship with the neurophysiology service in providing intra-operative monitoring for scoliosis / spinal deformity cases.
There are also close links with the paediatric spinal surgery service at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which enables for excellent transitional care into the adult service.
Within the Spinal Department at Salford Royal Hospital we also operate a Spinal Surgery Assessment Service for all outpatient referrals.
