The Directorate comprises the following departments:
Pathology services are provided by a joint partnership developed in conjunction with Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The service provides a comprehensive and wide ranging diagnostic, analytical, interpretative and clinical advisory service across the two sites for Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Wigan Wrightington and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, General Practitioners in Salford and regional services in several specialist areas.
