  • Salford Royal Unveils New Facilities for Renal Patients About the ServiceRenal services at Salford Royal are based in the Hope Building. The department supports pre-dialysis, dialysis and transplant patients and provides inpatient and outpatient services together with in-centre haemodialysis.

Carrying out daily routines. Nurses and ward assistants. A Advanced Kidney Care Service (AKCS)The AKCS clinic started in November 2008 to provide high quality, holistic care for those preparing for kidney transplantation and/or dialysis and is held each Wednesday morning in the renal outpatient department. This clinic cares for patients whose kidneys are working at 20% (or less) of what they should be (or 20 Glomerular Filtration Rate - GFR for short).
