Governors are the link between the Foundation Trust members in their community and the Trust. Together they form the Council of Governors and support the Trust in developing plans and services and representing members’ views to the Trust’s Board of Directors.
The council has 21 governors:

Eight public governors represent members in the eight neighbourhood areas of Salford

Four public governors represent members living in the out-of-Salford area

Four staff governors represent our staff members
-
Five appointed governors from our partner organisations including; NHS Salford, Salford City Council and the Universities of Manchester and Salford.
We are not currently holding elections for the Council of Governors.
