Your Opinion Counts - Members' Engagement

Members Engagement

We believe that listening to patients, public and members and using this feedback helps us improve services.

The involvement of patients and the public is an essential part of providing services that meet the needs of the communities we serve.

We engage with patients and the public on a regular basis both formally and informally.

We use many ways to talk to the communities we serve. This will include surveys, focus groups, public meetings and other engagement.

Take a look at how you can get involved and remember you can provide feedback to your Governor any time.

Current Opportunities for Involvement

Clinical Services Strategy Options Appraisal

Healthcare across Greater Manchester is changing. This is because hospital services do not consistently deliver the level of care that we believe you deserve and are not currently sustainable.

Within the Northern Care Alliance footprint of Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, North Manchester and Salford, we have a vision of creating hospital based centres of excellence, where specialist teams have the best equipment to give patients the best chance possible. Making sure that you only need to come to hospital when it matters most.

To do this, we are developing a ‘Northern Care Alliance Service Development Strategy’ that will describe how we work together to secure high quality clinical services and financial and workforce sustainability for all health and social care services by 2020-21.

We want you to help us do this! We will need to consider a number of options to help determine the nature of different hospital sites; and must agree what criteria are important when assessing these options. We have worked with commissioners and clinicians, and we are now seeking the opinion of our service users and communities to help set the ‘criteria’ for future service changes.

We will be holding two workshops where you will get the chance to help set the criteria for future service changes:

Workshop 1
