Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)
PALS offers support and assistance to patients, relatives and visitors such as:
- providing information on hospital services
- any problems or queries you may have
- listening to your views on how we can improve our services
- helping with interpreters, signers and other support services.
PALS is situated at entrance 4 near the outpatient department and is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday apart from bank holidays. You can telephone PALS on 0161 206 2003.
Hospital facilities
There are several cafés serving refreshments:
- Café Royal in the Plaza is open 8am – 9pm Monday – Sunday
- Stott’s Bistro next to the Cavendish Suite is open 8am – 2pm Monday - Friday
- WRVS coffee shop on the main corridor in the green area is open 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday and 8am – 3pm Saturday.
Other facilities include:
Wheel chairs are available at Entrance 4 (Red Area). You will require a £1 coin to obtain a wheel chair which is refundable on its return.
Hospital chapel/ prayer room
The chapel is located on the third floor of the Hope Building and is open from early morning to evening.
