Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at SRFT

There is a long history of volunteering in the NHS, and here at Salford Royal we enjoy the support of a dedicated community of volunteers and voluntary organisations. Volunteers help us to go the extra mile in providing Safe, Clean and Personal care to our patients and visitors. Through the sacrifice of their time and efforts they enhance the service the Trust provides and help to make it a welcoming and friendly environment.

What kind of volunteering is taking place?

There are a variety of voluntary roles here at the Trust and the number is growing by the day. Volunteers provide support all around the main hospital site as well as in other locations where we provide services. Roles include:

There are more volunteer roles being developed every day and if you think you have something to offer then we’d like to hear about it.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering not only improves the experiences of patients, visitors and staff at the Trust, but also provides an opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. Whether you are looking to gain experience in a healthcare environment or simply give a little back to your community, we will work to find a volunteer role that suits your skills and experiences and what you’d like to get out of it.

How do I get involved?

There are a number of steps involved in becoming a volunteer at SRFT. You can find out more about this here or you can contact volunteer services:
