Sohail graduated in 2000 from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his Postgraduate General Medical and General Practice training in the UK.
He is a qualified General Practitioner and is currently working in the Care Homes Medical Practice. He is passionate about improving the care of elderly people and his special interests include community elderly care, palliative care and service development.

Jill qualified in 1984 from Manchester Medical School.
Her subsequent medical and radiology training was in and around Manchester and she became a consultant radiologist at Wythenshawe Hospital in Jan 2000.
Jill has an interest in paediatric radiology and came to Salford Royal in March 2009 when children’s services in Salford were reconfigured and subsequently became the Clinical Director in July 2010.
Outside of work Jill competes internationally in the 'sprint-triathlon', representing Great Briatain in her age group.

Clinical Director for General Surgery
Mr Lees has been a Consultant General, Colorectal & Intestinal Failure Surgeon at Salford Royal since 2004 and was appointed as the Clinical Director for General Surgery and allied specialties at in 2011. He specialises in treating bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and complex intestinal fistulae.
His research interests include investigating the causes of bowel cancer. He has led the Colorectal Cancer multidisciplinary team at Salford and is the Vice-Chair of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Colorectal Cancer Network.
He has served on the Council of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland. He teaches and trains junior surgeons and runs a MSc Module in Surgical Practice at the University of Salford, where he is a Honorary Senior Lecturer.
For light relief he enjoys running marathons and he was recently pleased and surprised in equal measure to make it to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
