Covid-19 – Important Information for Your Safety

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, which brings together the Salford Royal and Pennine Acute trusts, and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of infectious diseases.

 

The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

New Covid-19 measures for Greater Manchester

New measures were announced by the government on Thursday 30 July to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. These measures apply to Greater Manchester residents and so we are aware will impact on many of our patients and service users.

Acute receiving centre - salford


New centre will help us to save even more lives

The state-of-the-art Acute Receiving Centre (ARC) will offer the highest level of emergency response care to major trauma patients who suffer life changing or life threatening injuries, for example after a serious road traffic accident.


It will also be the hub site for complex general surgery across Bolton, Salford and Wigan.

 

Located on Eccles Old Road, the six storey building will have a helipad.
