  • Christine Hill, retirement Salford Royal thanks Christine for over three decades of careAfter 34 years as a nurse at Salford Royal, Matron Christine Hill has walked the ward for one last time. Christine, who started at Salford Royal as a student nurse in 1978, retired from her role as Matron in Renal Care shortly before Christmas, with colleagues celebrating her contribution to the Trust at a party on her last day. 04 January 2013
  • Macmillan musical Salford Royal says Welcome to MacmillanMusic in Hospitals heralded the arrival of the Macmillan service to Hope Building with a sing-song. Music in Hospitals provides live concerts across health care settings to adults and children affected by all kinds of illness and disability and were the perfect choice to mark the opening of the new home for the Macmillan Information and Support Centre. 04 January 2013

  • Salford Royal Unveils New Facilities for Renal Patients Celebrations at Bolton Renal Dialysis UnitPatients and staff at Salford Royal's Bolton-based renal dialysis unit are celebrating 10 years since the facility opened its doors. The Bolton Haemodialysis Unit on the campus of Royal Bolton Hospital welcomed its first patients a decade ago. It now has 18 haemodialysis stations, used by about 80 patients. 11 June 2013
