Overseas Nurses, Arbana Shabbr & Tiriofenda Chokara

Are you an Overseas Nurse interested in becoming NMC registered?

If you're an overseas nurse interested in becoming registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council we would love to hear from you.

We're holding a drop in awareness session on Tuesday 1st August from 12.30-3pm in Seminar Room 9 in the Mayo and would love you to join us to discuss the opportunities available.

In order to be eligible to gain NMC registration, you should have completed your nurse training overseas and have practised as a registered nurse in your country of qualification for at least one year. You will also need to be committed to undertaking additional study and completing all the NMC requirements.

In return we will support you to achieve:-

• International English Language Test (IELTs) achieving level 7 in all four components – reading, writing, speaking and listening

• Part One of the Computer based Test of Competency

• Part Two Test of Competency Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)

Once successfully registered with the NMC you will then transfer to the role of Band 5 Qualified Nurse.

Please bring evidence of your nursing qualifications and copies of any English Language tests (if you have them) to the awareness session.

To register your interest or for further information contact Lindsay Hellewell, Nursing Recruitment & Retention Lead on 0161 2065872 or via email (lindsay.hellewell@srft.uk) or alternatively Diane Hickford Practice Development Lead on 0161 206 1561 or via email (diane.hickford@srft.nhs.uk).
