Has BBC Junior Doctors inspired you to pursue a career in medicine?

We hope the BBC Junior Doctors series helps to show people how interesting, exciting, rewarding and fulfilling it is to be a doctor.

If you’re considering medicine as a potential career option then there are lots of resources to help you decide whether this is where your future could lie, how you study and train and the types of roles that may be open to you.

NHS Health Education England offers a detailed section on becoming a Doctor, including roles, pay, length of training, medical school and foundation training here

Salford Royal partners with the University of Manchester for its training of undergraduate medical students; every year we support approximately 400 students with clinical placements.

The University of Manchester has worked with other medical schools to produce a series of guides and info-sheets for prospective medical students. You can find these here.

For more information about studying medicine at the University of Manchester, including blogs and videos on life as a doctor, go online.
